Featured Panelists:


Brent Longnecker, Chairman and CEO of Longnecker & Associates, has over 35 years of experience in strategy governance and remuneration consulting for public, private and not-for-profit organizations. Mr. Longnecker has built one of the country’s leading, privately-held executive management consultancies, serving both domestic and international markets, with additional corporate litigation support in which he has provided expert witness testimony for over 100 compensation-related cases. For three decades, he has consulted with a wide variety of companies in multiple industries. Further, he has authored 15 books on compensation, governance, and human resources – including the release of his 15th book, The Power of Restricted Stock, 3rd Edition. Mr. Longnecker has authored and/or been featured in more than 600 articles nationwide and Consulting Magazine selected Mr. Longnecker as one of the Top 25 consultants in the U.S. For the tenth year in a row, Longnecker & Associates was named one of the 2020 Best Companies to Work for in Texas. Out of the 100 companies given this distinction, L&A took the number one spot two prior years. He has both his bachelors and masters from the University of Houston.


David Bixby, Lead Consultant at Meridian, has over 20 years of compensation consulting experience with an emphasis on the assessment and design of executive and director pay programs, pay and performance alignment, and corporate governance. He works with boards of directors and senior management teams within both public and private companies of varying sizes across a range of industries. He has particular expertise in oil and gas, the broader energy sector, and engineering and construction.  David has been a frequent speaker and writer on executive compensation topics. He is a Certified Executive Compensation Professional (CECP), a member of Board Advisory Services for the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD), and a member of the Advisory Board for NACD’s Texas Tri-Cities Chapter. Prior to joining Meridian, David spent 10 years as a Managing Director with Pearl Meyer and 13 years in executive compensation consulting with Towers Perrin. David earned an MBA from The Jones Graduate School of Business at Rice University in and a B.A. in Economics from Rice University.
