New Rules: Managing Compensation in an Economic Recession
As recently as early Fall 2008, U.S companies across-the-board reported that they were only making small corrections in response to “a sluggish economy,” with an overwhelming majority expecting 2009 base pay increase budgets to remain steady in the 3% to 4% range.   To say that a lot has changed in just a few months is an understatement.

In our upcoming presentation, Tandehill Human Capital reviews the most current economic and compensation survey findings, and offers 10 New Rules to help better manage compensation costs in a recession. New Rule #2: Centralize compensation management. New Rule #7: If you must layoff: eliminate the person, not the job. Curious about the others? Please join us to understand the entire menu of alternatives to help you think through better pay management in a recession.
