SUMMARY
The Senior Compensation Analyst will analyze, administer, and assist with the development of compensation processes and programs including job evaluation, merit, market surveys and studies, and salary structure development and maintenance for North America.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Works with assigned client group and HR Business Partners in the job evaluation process within the organization.
- Serves as project leader for merit review process (hourly and/or salaried) and provides support to HR as needed. Prepares all analysis and summarization of merit recommendations for senior management.
- Administers variable pay programs and practices including Management Incentive Programs and other group specific bonus programs. Assesses and analyzes programs, making recommendations to ensure effectiveness and execution in a timely manner.
- Develops salary structures, merit guidelines and associated communications.
- Analyzes compensation-related transactions to ensure compliance with compensation program and
- Participates in appropriate third party salary surveys to ensure appropriate assessment of the relevant salary market to assure compensation position is maintained.
- Monitors and maintains compensation-related data integrity via HRMS (Workday) platform.
- Leads medium to large-sized projects including sophisticated and complex analyses including new and innovative models, methodologies, and approaches.
- Assist with the development, implementation and administration of compensation policies and programs.
- Keeps apprised of federal, state, and local compensation laws and regulations in order to ensure company compliance.
- Participates in any and all reasonable work activities as may be deemed suitable and assigned by management.
- Conform to, support and enforce all Company policies and procedures.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS/ABILITIES
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years progressively responsible experience in all components of Compensation.
- Strong mathematical aptitude and analysis skills.
- Thorough knowledge of tax, accounting, FLSA, and SEC regulations, laws, and practices in regards to compensation programs.
- Strong knowledge of applicable compensation software applications/products; experience with personal computer applications.
- Strong project management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex, multidisciplinary efforts.
- Ability to deal effectively with all employees and external business contacts while conveying a positive, service oriented attitude.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to make persuasive presentations to Executives.
- Ability to work in a fast paced, rapidly changing environment.
- Ability to maintain complete confidentiality and discretion in business relationships and exercise sound business judgment.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Master’s degree in Business, Human Resources or related field.
- Working experience in a sub-functional area of Compensation such as Sales Compensation, Executive Compensation or Equity Plan design.
- CCP designation.
REPORTING STRUCTURE
This position reports to the Director Global Compensation.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Working conditions are typical of a general office environment. May require long periods of sitting or standing. Overtime may be required as deemed necessary by business objectives.
