Exciting opportunity to use your compensation knowledge in supporting the Human Resources team and departments within our university.  The selected candidate will be responsible for maintaining strong relationships with business partners to achieve positive and effective outcomes in support of the university’s business objectives.

Primary responsibilities will include:

  • Providing day-to-day consultation, analysis and support to management on compensation strategy, policy & procedures, and overall salary administration.
  • Advising and assisting managers in completing, modifying and revising job descriptions. 
  • Performing job analysis and maintenance of university job descriptions and classification structure.
  • Maintaining annual pay plans for Management and Staff jobs.
  • Participating in salary surveys
  • Performing market pricing and/or job slotting activities.
  • Reviewing and recommending updates to university compensation related policies to reflect current Federal, State and UT System laws, regulations, policies and practices.
  • Contributing to the maintenance of pay programs including salary structure changes, merit programs, and other pay programs.
  • Assisting in the development of specialized programs to meet organizational needs.
  • Preparing internal compensation analyses and monitors metrics to support sound workforce decision-making and management.
  • Preparing various compliance-related compensation reports.
  • Advanced Excel experience with data analysis & data manipulation is a plus.  Coursework toward CCP and experience with PeopleSoft preferred.
