Summary of job responsibilities:
The primary purpose of this role is to serve as a professional in the development, implementation and administration of compensation programs which include job documentation and evaluation, salary administration and performance management to contribute to the attraction, retention, motivation and reward of PHHS employees.
Job responsibility detail:
- Analyzing market survey data and recommending grade and structure changes to ensure jobs are paid at the competitive level defined by management.
- Developing, maintaining, and revising job descriptions to ensure jobs are documented accurately and are in compliance with various regulatory and policy requirements.
- Facilitates the performance appraisal process
- Responsible for completing various third party and on-line salary surveys to ensure the equity of salary market information.
- Establishing, organizing and maintaining database information with regard to job criteria, market data, and special project information to ensure accuracy and timeliness of information required for decision making.
- Maintains a positive working relationship with all levels of employees by providing information, policy interpretation and advice regarding compensation issues (promotion, salary and career development options, salary increases, transfer, etc.) to ensure consistency in human resources utilization.
- Assisting with training management and employees on compensation principles and issues as requested.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, or a related field
- 3 years of Compensation experience
- Prefer CCP (Certified Compensation Professional) certification
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be able to demonstrate a working knowledge of PC’s, including knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database software.
- Must be able to think creatively and analytically.
- Working knowledge of hospital organization and jobs is preferred.
